Display/Show related procedures in class Axis (PowerPoint VBA)

This page presents procedures from class Axis related to the theme Display/Show: DisplayUnit, DisplayUnitCustom, DisplayUnitLabel and HasDisplayUnitLabel

DisplayUnit

Returns or sets the unit label for the value axis.

Possible Values are xlHundredMillions - Hundreds of millions, xlHundreds - Hundreds, xlHundredThousands - Hundreds of thousands, xlMillionMillions - Millions of millions, xlMillions - Millions, xlTenMillions - Tens of millions, xlTenThousands - Tens of thousands, xlThousandMillions - Thousands of millions, xlThousands - Thousands.

Using unit labels when charting large values makes your tick-mark labels easier to read. For example, if you label your value axis in units of hundreds, thousands, or millions, you can use smaller numeric values at the tick marks on the axis.

ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes(1).Chart.Axes(1).DisplayUnit = xlHundredMillions

DisplayUnitCustom

If the value of the DisplayUnit property is xlCustom, returns or sets the value of the displayed units.

The value of this property must be from 0 through 10E307. Using unit labels when charting large values makes your tick-mark labels easier to read. For example, if you label your value axis in units of hundreds, thousands, or millions, you can use smaller numeric values at the tick marks on the axis.

ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes(1).Chart.Axes(1).DisplayUnitCustom = 100

DisplayUnitLabel

Returns the DisplayUnitLabel object for the specified axis. Returns null if the HasDisplayUnitLabel property is set to False.

Dim dulDisplayUnitLabel As DisplayUnitLabel
Set dulDisplayUnitLabel = ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes(1).Chart.Axes(1).DisplayUnitLabel

HasDisplayUnitLabel

True if the label specified by the DisplayUnit or DisplayUnitCustom property is displayed on the specified axis. The default is True.

ActivePresentation.Slides(1).Shapes(1).Chart.Axes(1).HasDisplayUnitLabel = True
